Skopelos free walking tours
A tour that combines walking, the folk culture, and a local art workshop.

About me
My name is Rigina Bountala, and I am a local from the island of Skopelos. I studied Archaeology at the Department of History, Archaeology and Social Anthropology at the University of Thessaly in Volos, and later specialized in Coaching at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Since 2013, I have been dedicated to researching the history of Skopelos, exploring both its visible monuments and its hidden stories.
As an oral history researcher with the Istorima project, I have collected 36 oral testimonies from local residents, preserving memories, traditions, and personal experiences that bring the island's past to life. In 2022, my first written contribution was published, marking an important step in sharing this work with a wider audience. Whether guiding visitors or designing cultural experiences, I aim to connect people with Skopelos through authentic stories, historical insight, and a warm, personal approach.
